Confused about Phonemic Awareness Vs. Phonological awareness? Don't be glum chum, lots of people are. Here is a statement that will start to clarify things. Phonemic Awareness is an aspect of Phonological Awareness. Thus, if you are racking your brain trying to separate these concepts, STOP! They are not meant to be two separate concepts. Rather, they are part and parcel of the larger concept of Phonological Awareness. It's like this...having phonological awareness is a broader understanding of not only that letters represent sounds but also how sounds interact within words, the sounds that blends create and rhyming and syllabication are also subsets within the larger context of phonological Awareness.
On the other hand (not actually on the other hand, STOP trying to separate these 2 concepts!) Phonemic Awareness deals more simply with letter sounds, especially sounds associated with single letters.

P.S. - Rule of thumb: If anyone asks, you're teaching phonological awareness. If you're trying to pad your resume say you're teaching both.
